In confusing news out of the music world, Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea has confirmed that she is working with Azealia Banks on new music for her second album, Digital Distortion.
The pair have made no secret of their past dislike for each other, having one of the greatest beefs modern hip hop has seen, with Banks accusing Azalea of racism, before memorably calling her “Igloo Australia”. So we have to wonder, what’s caused these two to be civil?
Iggy revealed the news that Banks would be featuring on a track on her new album, due out sometime later this year, via her snapchat:

Azalea then followed up the snap with a series of tweets, saying she’s grown up and wants to turn a negative into a positive.
I dont expect you guys to understand why i would collaborate with someone who has publicly said they hope i die.

This has been something extremely negative for so long, if there is a way to make it positive and also be creative together, im here for it.

Rumours started to swirl late last month that the pair were looking to settle their disagreements, with Banks posting a message allegedly from Iggy on her Instagram, saying that she doesn’t “hate” her, and that the pair should “move past trivial beef with strangers”.
Given their history, recording will definitely be interesting – here’s hoping it goes smoothly!
